 Welcome to the Parish of Nuestra Señora de las Mercedes Our Parish is consecrated to Our Lady of Mercies. It is located in the city of Buenos Aires, not far from the de la Plata river. The building is about eighty years old, in a classic style. The actual Parish Priest is Fr. Jorge Benson. He was born in Buenos Aires in 1950. He was ordained priest in 1980, studied in Rome, and is the Pastor at Las Mercedes since 1997. |
| The parish has, as
well, a lovely Chapel
dedicated to Saint Theresa the Little Flower. It was recently
restored, as the rest of the Parish. And another one in a park, also very
warm,
consecrated to St. Louis of France. In this one we have a Sunday mass at noon,
followed by a snack very much appreciated and enjoyed by many families.
We celebrate Mass daily in the evening, and at different times on week ends. Baptisms and weddings are celebrated occasionally in English, and tourists show up often asking for confession in their language.
